Efficacy of Feed Additive Containing Bentonite and Enzymatically Hydrolyzed Yeast on Intestinal Health and Growth of Newly Weaned Pigs under Chronic Dietary Challenges of Fumonisin and Aflatoxin

This study aimed to investigate the efficacy of a feed additive containing bentonite and enzymatically hydrolyzed yeast on intestinal health growth newly weaned pigs under chronic dietary exposure fumonisin aflatoxin. Newly were randomly allotted one four possible treatments: control diet conventional corn; corn contaminated with aflatoxin; mycotoxin-contaminated 0.2% additive; mycotoxin 0.4% additive. We observed lower average weight gain daily intake in that fed only compared group. Feed supplementation linearly increased both intake, as well tumor necrosis factor-alpha. In jejunum, there was an decrease immunoglobulin A increase claudin-1. Additionally, villus height crypt depth ratio control. conclusion, additives could mitigate detrimental effects mycotoxins performance by improving integrity positively modulating immune response.
